Sometimes I have trouble imagining when a character looks like, either because I have too little, or too much information. More than once Ive come across a character that was only a name. Its hard to build a structure off of a name. There are also characters where I get quite a few paragraphs of detail about their exact appearance, right down to their clothing. With these I get bored and usually skip over the extra details.
It just makes me wonder about how to properly describe my characters without interfering with the readers imaginative process. Hm further research pending.
